The film

A climate-neutral journey across the Alps by bike and kayak. With whitewater kayaks on bike trailers, Olaf Obsommer, Jens Klatt, Adrian Mattern and Bren Orton fought their way from river to river under their own power. Climate-neutral travel, the landscape, the people and the discovery of reduced speed were the point of the trip. The team spent three weeks in the saddle and in the boat. From the Upper Bavarian Inn valley through Salzburger Land, past the Großglockner into East Tyrol, towards the Staller Sattel in South Tyrol and over the Timmelsjoch into the Tyrolean Ötztal. The numbers speak for themselves: 800 kilometres ridden, 8000 metres of climbing, and ten of the best whitewater rivers in the Alps paddled. Everything they needed they carried on their bikes and trailers: boat, paddle, kayak gear, bike, trailer, tent, sleeping bag, clothes and food came to a proud ninety kilos.
